CUSTOM SOFTWARE - ANALYsis & DESIGN
All software development begins with analysis
Good solutions are the result of a thorough process. Before we can know what needs to be built or how it should be built, we first need to understand why it needs to be built. In Analysis & Design, we dig into the challenges and needs of your business, building the understanding that staff and AI agents will need to work from. Together, we translate these insights into compliance and security requirements, architecture and solution design.

From a vague problem statement to informed design choices
You hear it all the time and probably feel it yourself: Digitalization is a hard agenda to get a handle on. The parameters keep changing, there are many decisions to make, and new initiatives keep launching.
When you’re faced with a specific challenge, identifying the core of the problem is a crucial first step on the path to successful implementation.
In Analysis & Design, our consultants have extensive experience breaking down business challenges into manageable parts. Together, we cut through the noise, work out what needs to be built as well as what doesn’t, then we define the scope of the project accordingly.
Analysis
Working closely alongside you, we map out how your workflows are currently supported, where the problems arise, and which systems and data are involved in the processes. Using agentic AI means we can spend more time working with you on the analysis part, gaining a deeper understanding of your problems and their nuances. That understanding then forms the basis for deciding what needs to be built and identifying the work processes that AI agents can effectively support.
Design
Based on this analysis, we translate your business needs into requirements and a design for the future solution, including descriptions of functionality and user flows. And, of course, we ensure that compliance and security are factored in from the very beginning.
Architecture
New solutions must fit into your system landscape. We define the architecture keeping in mind your other systems, internal and external integrations, data and platforms.
Often the best lines of code are those that are never written
Early meetings in the custom software development process sometimes begin with a very long list of requests for functionality and technologies. Often, these requests are far beyond what is required to address the specific challenge the organization is describing.
That’s quite understandable. When there are so many possibilities, it’s easy to fall into the trap of focusing on everything a new solution could include.
But it’s important to bear in mind that every function, integration and even the smallest technical component comes at a price. Building, running and further developing a solution throughout it’s lifecycle are costly endeavours and also place a strain on organizational resources.
That’s why we treat omission as a vital part of Analysis & Design. Code that is never written never needs to be tested, debugged or maintained. We often find that the functionality you’re looking for already exists in another system. Perhaps the workflow can be resolved more simply by thinking a little differently. Perhaps you don’t actually need what you’re asking for at all…
A large part of our work involves challenging the wish list. We help to narrow things down to what is really necessary to solve a task. When we pass a solution on to development, we take care not to make it any bigger than it needs to be.
